My Trip

My trip started from Kolenchery, my home town. we started around 2 PM on 16-04-2009. we travelled through Muvattupuzha Kothamangalam and reached valara around 4pm. we stopped there for a break there is a nice waterfall at valara. we reached munnar at 6pm and had our dinner from there. By 8pm we started our journey to Marayur through the narrow ghat road, it was little misty too. around midnight we reached marayur and found an accommodation.

Valara Waterfalls
next day after the morning tea we left to see the dolmens (Muniyara in malayalam). the trekking to reach there was little hard but we enjoyed it. the climate was fine. we spend some time there. after we returned to munnar. there was sandlewood forests on both sides of the roads and there are some orange trees also inside the tea plantations..

we had our breakfast from saravanabhavan munnar. the food was very tasty, then we travelled to mattuppetty.

Mattuppetty dam

Mattuppetty dam is a hydroelectric dam constructed between the hills. the dam creates a huge reservoir where boating facility is available. we took a boating there and continued our journey to echo point.
